Our Parish Congregations:
St. Columba’s, St. James’, and the Beach Mass
We are a parish that is seeking to grow and share God’s grace. Therefore we have pushed ourselves in reaching out and providing worship in different locations and/or at different times to try to meet people where they are.
St. Columba’s Church is one of several congregations of our parish ‘ohana. In Waimea, we have congregations that currently worship with a “drive-in” Mass in front of the lanai of the Thrift Shop at 7:30 and 9:30AM Sundays. We also offer our “service on the sand” at our 5 PM Saturday Beach Mass at Kawaihae Canoe Club.
While we offer for different opportunities to worship every weekend, we are one parish ‘ohana. Each service has its own tone. We encourage you to attend the service at which you feel most comfortable. People often choose a service that best fits what is going on in their lives that particular weekend. However, there is also something about getting to know a smaller group of people who regularly attend a certain service, and thus become part of the congregation.
